FROM SUNRISE AT 6:00 A.M. to the dusky evening hours just past sunset, NYC24’s troupe of reporters documented a day’s worth of
activity and inactivity in Central Park. On April 29, 2005, we trampled
the park’s grassy knolls, peeked into its shadowy corners and bore witness to 15 hours of park life in the morning, noon and night.
All walks of park life can be found in the photographs that follow.
Joggers at daybreak, soccer-playing kids in the afternoon and cricket-playing grown-ups at night. The rose-tinted color of sunrise over the reservoir and the amber glow of street lamps in the evening. Spring blossoms, pigeon flocks, elusive squirrels and rows of taxicabs.
